Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Will Utilize Rugged Displays From Milcots Product Line

September 21, 2011-Trilogic Systems, a business development channel specializing in Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) technology, today announced that it has secured a major design win for its rugged display product line for the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Program. The displays will be incorporated as part of General Dynamics AIS’s OPEN CI standard that facilitates “any display, anywhere” capability that enables the LCS crew to operate consoles and workstations anywhere on the vessel.

The Littoral Combat Ship is the first of a new family of surface ships for the US Navy. The LCS is a fast, highly maneuverable, networked surface combat ship that is specifically designed to defeat “anti-access” threats in shallow, coastal water regions known as the littorals. Such threats include fast surface craft, quiet diesel submarines and mines.
